For iOS development we need Macs. Because I used to work at Apple people often ask me, when should they buy a Mac? When should they buy an iPhone? Because they don’t want to buy when, Apple’s going to release something new right away.
So there’s actually a website I check. It’s called Mac OS rumors. https://buyersguide.macrumors.com/
On MacOS Rumors they have a buyer’s guide that they post when they expect new things to come out. They are fairly accurate in their predictions. They use the rumors as well as the fact Apple actually releases on a fairly regular schedule. For iPhones for example they usually release a new phone around every 400 days.
So you can kind depend on the release schedule, as well as, of course, they use the rumors as well. Same thing for Macs. They say right now for MacBook Air go ahead and buy it, but don’t buy a MacBook Pro.
Then when you look at MacBook Pro it says for example the MacBook Pros are expected to come out in November. Thus, you don’t want to buy now because in two months the new MacBook Pros are supposed to be here.
